- 'Each successful rescue and re-home is a bright rainbow that spans the unmarked graves of the millions of tragedies. It gives light and hope to those whose sleep is haunted by the whimpers of the unsaved' ~ Elke W Beard

I watched this video and listened to what she had to say, it broke my heart. I sit here and I’m crying for all those animals that had to die for no reason, and all those that will go die this way.
There should be a law against people who keep animals and can not look after them, the same law that applies when they abuse their children… Animals have souls and have the right to be loved and cared for. They give unconditional love to us their owners.
It brings back the most painful memory of my dog Ilka, a Labrador, that I had to put down last year in August, because she had a stroke. I still have her ashes here with me, and the jacket I had on that day, i’ve never washed. I had no choice with her, she was 13 years old. I still think about her every day and will always miss her.
We adopted another dog from save-a-pet a week later, beacuse I felt that we should give an abondoned dog another chance to be happy. And yes, she is happy with us and we named her Fiela.
I will pass this video on to every person I know, and we will put up a fight against euthanasia of healthy animals.
