What happened to the owner he should have been made to suffer as he had made his animal suffer but of course in South Africa that would never happen. What a terible story but of course there are millions like it, what can we do?

This seems SOOOOOO trite and such a cliche - but she IS in a better place and is no longer hurting and she is safe. I know what long term medication can do to animals (my dog Anubis (she was a cross Rottie / German Shepherd - she was my soul-dog (like soul-mate but with 4 legs) suffered from arthritis and cancer in her lymph nodes and she was on long-term medication. We had to lay her to rest eventually and this was one of the hardest days of my life. In fact, my heart is breaking all over again while I type this. I believe that Anubis understood and that I will see her again.
