Bogus comment exposes Catherine…
On Friday 22 Oct, a comment was posted on this Blog by someone pretending to be Tracy Forté. The comment included apologies to all her friends, family and the public, begging forgiveness for ‘every animal that has ever suffered’, a statement of her intention to publish her full confession, and that she did not want Wet Nose to suffer any more criticism. It also included a statement of Tracy’s support for the current Wet Nose management.
I did not publish it because it was clearly bogus for the following reasons:
1. The email address submitted was not Tracy’s.
2. The IP address was not Tracy’s, which has been the same for several years. Tracy’s IP is a DSL landline, this was from a 3G mobile. An IP address is a digital ‘signature’ that enables us to identify the ISP and connection of anyone who comments on the Blog. It can be tracked back to the cellphone or telephone number.
3. Several spelling mistakes of people’s names were made, mistakes Tracy would not have made since she has known them for some time.
4. Tracy would have made mention of me in the email – the fact that she did not made me suspicious. In addition, should Tracy decide to make an announcement, I would be among the first to know, and before the event.
Who would do such a thing? After all, it is illegal to impersonate someone, and only a person with dubious moral fibre would attempt such a con. I checked back among the other IP addresses, and found one IP address that correlated perfectly: that of Catherine Laurent when she posted on this Blog previously. In acting in this manner, Catherine has not only committed a crime, but has also demonstrated her limited intelligence, since firstly the false nature of her comment would have been discovered sooner or later and the chances of it succeeding extremely slim, but secondly she must surely have noticed that the comments were being moderated manually and that I have mentioned before that I monitor IP addresses? Catherine, you have finally exposed yourself – I have handed over the pertinent information to legal people who will follow up…
Catherine’s actions are disturbing. What is more disturbing to the animal community, however, is that she is associated with people currently on the Wet Nose Board, as evidenced by these captures from her friends on Facebook:

You know a hell of a lot of stuff about her, and you have transcripts of court cases – obviously given to you by we-know-who (by the way, who paid for this? Wetnose?) Oh please, am I supposed to be running scared now? I have not said one thing here that you can take me to court over – or try to. Bet you don’t have pro-bono legal assistance like we do. You must be about the only person in south africa that wasnt outraged by what we all watched on carte blanche. Says a lot about your character! I certainly didnt watch an insert on a responsible breeder, i saw hundreds of dogs and a few people living in filth and squalor with animal carcasses strewn about the property for food. Many of the dogs had medical conditions that needed veterinary treatment and for some that were confiscated it was too late to intervene medically anyway?Please correct me if this isnt cruelty in your eyes? You can reply what you wish, i am not going to enter into any further correspondence when all i get are hysterical mud slinging retorts.

My goodness, I cannot believe the mud slinging coming from Catherine. I thought we were supposed to be mature adults. Name calling is something we did in primary school.
I cannot understand how anybody could try and protect Jan van Aardt after what we all saw on Carte Blanche. I am quite positive that I was sober at the time it was aired. The whole country was horrified at the state of the poor animals and the conditions they were kept in.
Poor Julie is getting a load of lip just because she wants to get behind the truth of why the case was dropped. We were both blocked from making comments on the new Wetnose site. How can we therefore believe anything that is said if we don’t get a fair chance at asking questions?
The bottom line is we want answers on why the van Aardt case was dropped. Nothing more, nothing less.

thus it logically concludes that neither of us are in a position to perpetuate any opinion about the matter – i mean, there it is: you were “told” that forte wasn’t informed to appear at van aardt’s case; i was “told” that forte presented a sick note excusing her absence from that day’s court proceedings…
so which one is it, since neither of us were there ?

ABOUT FORTE AND HER COURT CASES
animal man, I have the transcript of the Bronkhorstspruit court case in which Forte was chased out of the court for making false and vexatious cases against me – thus my sweet friend, I too reserve the right to litigate – and believe me, I’m not wasting my time on a small fry intimidation case, that is purely a waste of the state’s time!
further, I stand by EVERYTHING I said in the Muffin-court case, including the fact that Forte added false evidence under my name that I could never have been involved with –
I know what I’m talking about – I held Muffin dog in my arms, I even snuck him smoked bones and beeno biscutes to nibble on; I visited Muffin at Dr. Kraft’s vet many, many times – but Muffin was terminally ill and the fact that he didn’t last longer than 5 more months after his release from the vet is a clear indication of that. I spoke with both the volunteers that were intimately involved with Muffin’s care and both felt there were too many facts amiss from Forte: I stood in Nico van der Merwe’s home, I saw his other dogs and the beautiful condition that they were in: In my view, the only questionable action committed, was that a terminally ill dog was not euthanised but lived to suffer his painful condition for 5 more months.
The crime committed is that Forte picked on a sick animal and let him suffer for months in the slow decline of his terminal illness, so that she could profit from the donations that would come from sensationalist press coverage.
Aaah – but even in that there is justice: THE PRESS HAVE NO FAVOURITES. The very same journalists that were hunting good stories for Forte are now hunting good stories about forte’s rather ‘sudden’ exit, her escaped convict son, her violent blow-outs at Champions (the club, where a very sick and medically frail forte regularly hangs out until she falls over): the joke among the journalists are that forte’s matric certificate is about as authentic as Julius Malema’s F in woodwork!
Catherine, your statement “forte is effectively an undesirable person, a persona non grata, in the animal welfare world” is a huge misrepresentation of the facts. I am in contact with more people involved in animal welfare, by a huge margin, than you, and I can guarantee you that the support for Tracy outnumbers those against her.
Your questions are VERY simple to answer – she has been told by her legal counsel not to make any public statements; she will state her case in court, should that ever become necessary, since Wet Nose has yet to produce substantive evidence of any nature whatsoever.
When you can produce something more than rhetoric (look it up in a dictionary) and stop lying (the Chauke lie is an obvious one, we spoke to him), I might give you the time of day. Until then, you are the sound of one hand clapping…

I know what side of the fence I’m standing on and when I look over my shoulder, I see an ocean of passionate animal lovers, donors, political representatives, journalists, business owners, government representatives and a solid judicial system backing me, backing WetNose and the honest cause of the compassionate treatment of animals.
I spoke to Chauke this morning and he insists that Forte is hiding from the law – and so is her convicted son, Tyrone Frey. So shame on you for making false statements on behalf of a police officer – i believe, that may indeed be another criminal offence tied to forte’s IP address!

Friends of Wetnose or Catherine should i say? Hiding from justice? I don’t think so! I won’t comment further save to say the complainants attorney has had my attorney and advocates details for months and months.
I filed to defend a long time ago and have all the documentation to defend the case filed both here and copies with my attorney.
Not sure how legal it is to send copies of the summons (complete with tippex everywhere?) for everyone to see, doesn’t worry me one iota!
I am however repulsed to see you defending the puppy mill owner, millions of people were mortified watching the Carte Blanche programme and i have no idea how anyone with a sane grip on reality could defend what i saw on National television? I had the pleasure of Forte’s company on Friday – and she is running scared. With two warrants for her arrest the girl went pale – and on advice of her attorney left the scene very quickly incase she may be confronted by the police.
I challenge anyone on this blog to call inspector M Chauke of the Boschkop police station at: 072-311-0889 to confirm the fact that Forte is wanted and has been evading police questioning for more than a week now.

This is the same character that produced a fraudulent e-mail that had been sent to the entire country using photos of an Australian horse abattoir implying to the public as that Onderstepoort was murdering the horses. false pretensions. Derek was at this stage, apart of ARC( Animal Rights Coalition). I still remember at one of the ARC meetings, you(Derek) had been exposed about your false acquisitions.

Now that your Queen Bee, Tracy Forte has been booted out of Wet Nose, you once again make it your priority to slander Wet Nose Animal Rescue Center. from Wet Nose. Tracy had tried to protect herself against it by accusing Catherine of theft(R100-00). A case had been filed and Catherine was proven not guilty, in Bronkhorspruit. Why would one protect someone after they had been fired for theft? This means that both backs were being scratched. It had been said that when one is dismissed from their occupation, they have the right to defend themselves at a hearing. Tracy had had multiple opportunities to attend a disciplinary hearing, but every time the word was mentioned a new excuse had arose i.e one of the excuses that was always favoured in any predicament was that she was sick and she had assigned a doctors note to prove which was given
by her lawyer a few months ago , yet on that same night she was found drinking at a bar. Eventually, it had been decided that the case be taken to the CCMA. It was Tracy who had asked for the CCMA but when push came to shove, she acted differently . She had resigned a day before the hearing, proving that she could not face the music!
Jan van Aard is a dog breeder who had owned a large amount of dogs. Yet knowing about this for several years she had called onto Cart Blanche to go with her to infiltrate his property; she had also had two witnesses (Fiona and Wynand). She went to his plot with Cart Blanche and had humiliated him on a national scale. She had also illegally taken his dogs from him and had taken them to Wet Nose. She had also accused and opened a case against him saying that he had had a puppy mill. It was Tracy, who was the lead witness in assistance with VLOK who had opened the case against him. How good a
person you are Derek that you so easily forgotten that Jan van Aard had acknowledged that he had too many dogs and had signed his dogs off to the SPCA. After filing the case, Mr. van Aard had appeared in court but Tracy’s witnesses (Fiona and Wynand) had pulled out and once again Tracy was nowhere to be seen. Tracy is always fond of sending others to get their hands dirty, instead of her and never responds to this blog.
At least Derek, you with your so called legal knowledge should have known that the case could have still went on since Tracy the lead witness was still in the case. The case had been postponed for so long that in between the 18th and 19th case Tracy had for her own protection resigned from Wet Nose, resulting in the case being thrown out of court due to Tracy’s lack of appearance as lead witness.
Derek, you always claim on this blog that you are so fond and so close to Tracy, if this is true then why did you not advise her to attend the case, any normal friend would have done so.
It is only human for Tracy’s family to protect her on a blog like this, but what are your intentions? Two more characters on this blog, who seriously raise many questions amoung our minds, is Ms. Julie Morris and Craig J King. Ms. Morris has been hiding from justice for more than a year. A case of slander was opened against her and after dodging the law, she has finally been traced. Was using this blog her last
attempt to prove her innocence? Yet Mr. King is still hiding his physical address.
Through the years, hasn’t the machine called time molded all the corrupt beings together in one big group of hopeless people who are trying to prove their innocence, which in the end will leave them all homeless? There is to an extent a priest in Harrismith that is connected to this saga and now is the time for him to start praying.
Every one of Tracy’s victims had come together, held several meetings and a force of power, justice and truth was formed. It is this force that brought Tracy down to her knees.
Listen small man, Derek! Start doing something real, get rid of the pathetic internet based organisation and stop slandering real people who make a living and organisations (The SPCA and Wet Nose) who work their butts off to do good for others. All we can say is: GET REAL!!! An internet based welfare?

I have now (again) read through every reply on all these blogs, and at the end all I can say is WTF? Here you have Tracy who has picked up problems with her board – they have suspended her ‘pending an investigation into mismanagement’. She takes them to court. Two times. Court not interested. Board wants to have hearing with her. 4 times. She resigns. Derek decides to take her side. Her followers take her side. Nowhere is her side from her mouth, all the comments are from her best friends/followers and Derek. Ok, her letter of resignation which is a bit dramatic (plus sick note) and clearly written for the blog, not so much for the board. Board asks for the return of important papers. Why did she not talk to them in the beginning, no need for courts, no need for crying on this blog. All she did was drag the process out, wasted (animal) money on court cases, and makes it clear to all that she has the money to do these things, while at the same time crying poverty. The real issue about Wetnose got lost after the first hour on this blog…now we are all after one another..like a witch hunt. Do any of you still have an idea what we are discussing? The only thing that is wrong with the new folks in charge of wetnose is the fact that they are not exposing Tracy Forte. Guys, the facts are there, the witnesses are there, the evidence is there EXPOSE HER for the sake of wetnose. Keeping things hush-hush is not going to help and secondly by keeping quiet you are enabling Tracy to start up another dubious organization. She MUST be taken out!

lord cyruse, can’t you see Derek has cut and paste Wetnose’s response in and commented just as he has done with all their other official responses? He hasn’t written it himself nor has anyone else “hacked” his account and posted it. its called showing both sides and non bias! For heavens sake make your point! Yes, we all know already that the same IP addresses give the same “personal” photo as you should have noticed using two names from the same IP address, it isn’t a secret!! Derek has mentioned before!! I have two PC’s here, my son could post a comment if he wanted to using his name on his PC (note i am not using a pseudonym) and “my” picture would come up as we both use the same ADSL router???
And tell me please, what has anyone taken out of context with the fact that Jan van Aardt’s puppy mill case has been dropped???
No one seems to have grasped this point whatsoever and go off at a tangent defending everybody else when all we want to know is how was this allowed to happen??

Update from the Board of Wet Nose Animal Rescue Centre:
The Board of Directors confirms that Tracy Forte is no longer associated with Wet Nose Animal Rescue Centre in either an official or unofficial capacity following her resignation on 13 October 2010.
In light of the inaccurate and misleading information being presented to Wet Nose supporters and stakeholders from various biased sources, the Board wishes to assure all interested and affected parties that:
1. Wet Nose fund-raising and sponsorship initiatives are key to enabling this mission.
2. The Board has ordered a forensic audit to substantiate their primary findings relating to mismanagement.
3. Formal legal proceedings are underway to resolve irregularities and prosecute parties found guilty
The Board appeals to Wet Nose supporters and animal lovers to treat any damaging information relating to Wet Nose, with sensible caution. An open invitation is extended to all interested parties to visit Wet Nose any time during operating hours. Questions can also be directed in writing to wetnose@absamail.co.za.
We thank the loyal supporters of our animals and we continue to depend on, and welcome, volunteers to groom and walk the animals.

You know what is really funny is that you did not read the new on the web site of wetnose properly… it gives a date of when the news was posted… the new board letter was posted on the 22nd october 2010, Tracy’s name is mentioned on the news letter that was psoted on the 8th July 2010. the website displays the letter because there is still space available, I think that if the board wanted they could have removed the old news letter…
I agree carte Blanche should investigate and show the world the truth, hopefully the person you believe is innocent is really innocent and not guilty…….

There is still some people at Wetnose who I know that are not losers, that has good intentions and morals.
You know what is funny is that all the people who are so anti-wetnose now is the same people who will contact the inspector or the offices when in need of assistance & this crap which you are all spreading is then conveniently forgotten….. I agree this blog is about the welfare of animals and we are all still waiting to hear why and how the puppy mill case could have been so easily thrown away after all the work Wetnose put into it?

I am convinced we cant fight this evil – it can only be dealt with by a Higher Power. But I know He will deal with them in his own way.
I also have proof that Catherine took on a friend of her’s persona (once again same IP Address) and blogged , again talking the biggest lot of rubbish I have seen in my life.

I know there are people on this blog with concerns for the animals and telling people to focus on this issue but what they seem to be missing is this whole issue is about the animals. This so called board have taken out the one person who has always put the animals first and has built Wetnose into the organisation it was before Tracy left. Since the so called board have taken over there is a lack of funds and sadly Wetnose will never be the same place it used to be. I highly doubt the number 1 intention of this new ‘board’ is in favour of the animals instead I thinks it’s motives are for personal gain so in the end the only one’s who will suffer with be the animals. Any person with a bit of intellect is able to see through all the lies and deceit to the real issues at hand and are able to make a sound judgment call. Some food for thought
Like the saying goes the truth will always come out eventually. I can’t believe Catherine thought people would believe that Tracy would actually write a letter confessing to accusations she firmly denies (wait… actually I can because of the caliber of person we’re dealing with here). I personally think there is way more behind this whole issue than meets the eye and esp. with regards to the Puppy Mill case that has been conveniently struck of the roll. I think these so called board members are in some way involved (if you look at who they are associated with and that’s a fact not some made up story) and what better way to try and stay under the radar by taking out the one person who would expose them all. I really do pray that Carthe Blanche investigates and gets to the bottom of thise whole mess. I actaully checked out the Wetnose website last night and saw a letter posted from the board stating that Tracy is no longer associated with Wetnose and then had a good laugh because at the end of the news page it still has Tracy’s name and title published
and once again it leaves more questions as to what on earth is going on?
