Lucky Lucy Sterilization Campaigns
(Sterilisation is the way we mould the future of animal welfare, and one of the best is the Lucky Lucy Foundation..)
We work ourselves to the dog gone bones during our Mass Sterilization campaigns – and we have successfully sterilized nearly 80 dogs in Kalkfontein since we started working there in June and this all aside from any of our other Sterilization numbers in the other areas. We rely on the goodwill of you, our loyal suppawters to help us in our fight against the over-populated society – and it this exact over-population that causes all the pain and heartache every animal faces everyday. The neglect, abuse, breeding and cruelty won’t stop or slightly change if we don’t continue our Sterilization Campaigns. We will see no visible difference if we can’t continue this – therefore we have em’bark’ed on a trip down the yellow brick road with Lucky Lucy’s story.
Lucky Lucy was tied to a railway – hit by a train which severed her leg and she was pregnant – the key word here is ‘pregnant’; the story line – severe cruelty, abuse and emotionless regard for life and it ended with innocent young lives having to die too as Lucky Lucy lost all her puppies!
Many many of you know her story and have seen the picture, but for those who haven’t, I challenge you to take a look and see if it inspires you to help us continue receiving donations for our Sterilization Fund! I even challenge those who have seen to look again!
Can we do this for Lucky Lucy? In memory of what she endured as well as all the others that have passed through our hands?
We are asking you because of the attached Vet Bills of our Sterilization Campaigns which amounts to R 20, 870 – please have a look and understand why we once again beg with our snouts dragging in the ground for your help to assist us with covering these costs – PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE can’t continue Sterilizing unless these are paid but we also can’t continue Sterilizing without funds always being available in our Sterilization Fund! And these two things drastically hinder us from our vision and that is to continually Sterilize and our aim is for 2000 dogs for this year – it was our plea in the beginning and still is now and if by a miracle we can do this – we believe we can still achieve the 2000 mark.
WE beg you please help us pay these vet bills now – we can’t continue otherwise but we also beg you please to consider helping us keep our Sterilization Fund filled with enough to keep going otherwise we will be begging for help like this, every month.
For these vet bills, donations can be directly made to our vet at Animal Welfare Society SA, Stellenbosch, Nedbank, 1498042856, Branch 149821, Reference Lucky Lucy Foundation.
But for our Sterilization Fund, our bank details are Lucky Lucy Foundation, 410514039 Cheque account, Milnerton 026509, Reference Sterilization Fund & your name.
Please send all proof of payments to richelle@luckylucy.org.
For one sterilization it costs R280 as we deworm and vaccinate all at the same time – as every township animal does deserve full protection.
So if you wish to walk the yellow brick road with us, you will see at the end of it that we have a Steri Star Wall and every person who donates R280 or more for our Sterilization Fund monthly, their name will be on Lucky Lucy’s Steri Star Wall for every one to see how we all trying to curb the over-population. And every person who donates for a Sterilization every month will receive a photo of every dog they have helped sterilize through their donations.
We beg for your help and we ask that even if you forward this on, it may make a difference – please help us now and in the future too – Lucky Lucy can change so many lives with your help!
Richelle
