About the Hopeful Initiative
If you love animals, you should know about the subjects written about in this blog. You should even be involved in correcting the injustices built into our maladapted society where sentient beings, non-human animals, are regarded as of secondary importance, subjugated to human needs.
As things stand right now, the situation is out of control. The sheer size of the problem, the huge volumes of domestic animals (the focus of this Blog) being neglected, abused, even tortured and maimed, in South Africa is alarming, or should be to anyone with even a modicum of sensitivity to the suffering of others. That the suffering referred to is that of non-human animals should make it no less important, unless you somehow regard their pain, their consciousness, their emotions of no consequence, and then I must ask you:
